I believe that true healing can occur in relationship where safety and acceptance is established and maintained. Through our work together, a client has the opportunity to explore and experiment with new ways of being as they journey to defining and finding the path to their most authentic, fulfilling self. Gina Carfagno (she/her), MSS, LSW

Client Focus:

  • Teenagers (13-18)
  • Individuals/Adults (18+)

Philosophy:

My passion in life is helping others. I strive to form strong relationships that set the foundation for secure attachment and trustworthy contact. I firmly believe that our connection is life-long and sacred.

I approach therapy by focusing on client strengths and utilize Gestalt Therapy techniques that treat the whole person and honor the importance of the field within the client’s daily life.

I help clients identify interruptions of contact, and support ways to work through and grow from their understandings of how creative adjustments, interruptions of contact and the field all come together to impact daily life encounters, as well as their own thought processes and emotions.

I invite clients to join my present-centered focus, recognizing the best opportunities for growth invite staying in touch with oneself in the present moment. As a Gestalt therapist, I also invite clients to tap into experiential experiments that are often thinking outside the box as ways of helping clients work through challenging issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, relationship issues, healing attachment conflicts, self-harm behaviors and suicidality. My passion and ultimate goal is to provide all clients with safe, humane, understanding and supportive environments, and to remind them of their integrity and worth.

Ellen Sandra Cohen (she/her), MT, Continuum Teacher

Client Focus:

  • Teenagers (13-18)
  • Individuals/Adults (18+)

Philosophy:

A life-long dancer, I have also been studying, developing, teaching and practicing body-oriented psychotherapy since the mid-‘70s. In my work I draw from a combination of body and energy techniques, including structural myofascial release, Muscular Therapy, Gestalt Therapy and Continuum.

My experience as an improvisational dancer developed my respect for the sacredness of the moment, the wisdom that can emerge from the unconscious, and the importance of the relationship between client and practitioner. My passion is listening to creative intuition: my own, my clients’, and my students’, to allow the next correct action, movement, sound, idea or insight to emerge clearly.

Stephen C. DiJulio (he/his), PhD

Client Focus:

  • Individuals/Adults (18+)

Philosophy:

I see my clients as first and foremost persons with strengths and only secondarily as persons with problems or issues. It is important to co-create a safe relationship as well as goals and a plan for moving forward. The plan must be tailored to the needs of the individual client.

At times, I will offer structured materials for building skills that the person may choose to accept or decline. I have a strong interest in inviting chair work to address unresolved trauma and losses.

Gary Gray (he,him), MAT, Certified Gestalt Coach

Client Focus:

  • Individuals/Adults (18+)
  • Groups
  • Families

Philosophy:

My job is to listen to you and learn what is remarkable and wonderful about you in the world, to urge you to see yourself as remarkable and wonderful and to help you discover what is preventing you from being fully engaged in your life.

I believe that wellbeing is enhanced by our ability to be more fully in the here and now. Healing happens when we become aware of how our stories are affecting us right now. We do have to delve into our painful stories but the stories were then and the guilt, anger, sadness and resentment are here and now.

I give my attention to what you say and how you say it. It is not my job to search for hidden, unconscious implications of what you say. I cannot know you by studying the various isolated parts of your life but by getting to know you as a complicated whole person and attending to the relationship of the parts to the whole. I believe this process of discovering, owning and embracing self is the path to healing and growth.

Kelly Kampf (she/her), MSW, LCSW

Client Focus:

  • Individuals/Adults (18+)
  • Groups
  • Supervision Group(s)
  • Families

Philosophy:

I believe therapy is based on the relationship between therapist and client where the client is the expert on their own lives.

My goal is to provide a collaborative, non-judgmental space where you can work to discover areas of your life where you would like to change, grow, and gently uncover your true self.

I offer two supervision groups per year that are based in developmental somatic and Gestalt theory, with the goal of helping clinicians truly be present with whatever is arising for their clients in any given moment, without desiring to change anything. It is from this place of acceptance that healing can begin.

Naomi Wilansky (she/her), MSS, LCSW, BCD

Client Focus:

  • Individuals/Adults (18+)

Philosophy:

We all have parts of self that are either well integrated or not well integrated. Not well integrated parts have competing agendas and are causing conflicts that result in behaviors that we don’t intend or want. The parts of self with competing agendas are more likely formed because of unmet needs through our development; whether because of abuse, neglect or well-meaning caregivers who for one reason or another aren’t able to meet our needs.

The work of therapy is about raising awareness to the unwanted, unintended behaviors (incongruence), and maybe to the source of them so that we are able to make well-informed decisions, accept all of our feelings as valid, adapt to situations that we can’t change and function as the inter-dependent, responsible, joyous, flexible adults that we are.

Monika Wysong (she/her), MSS, LCSW

Client Focus:

  • Individuals/Adults (18+)

Philosophy:

Going into therapy takes courage, so it’s important that you feel safe, heard and supported by someone who respects you, honors your process, and acts as a compassionate ally on your journey to self-awareness, desired change and a more fulfilling life.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Gestalt Therapist. I use psychodynamic psychotherapy and solution-focused therapy to work with those struggling with anxiety; depression; relationship issues; life transitions; grief and loss; substance abuse; lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered issues; blocks to creativity and finding meaning.

I have a Master’s degree from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, where I was the recipient of the Patricia Burland Award for Excellence in Clinical Social Work Practice. I have additional training in mindfulness-based stress reduction, and trauma recovery and empowerment for women. I work with individuals and couples, adolescents and adults.
