Upcoming Workshops

Workshops: GTIP faculty and associates present events, workshops, seminars and talks focusing on the theory and practice of Gestalt Therapy. A sampling of topics include:

  • Gestalt Therapy Theory (an overview) 
  • Trauma, Grief and Loss 
  • The Ethics of Experiential Work 
  • Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy 

GTIP events are held at Bryn Mawr College, online via Zoom or in the Greater Philadelphia region. Continuing education units (CEUs) are available for Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psychologists. Faculty are available to come to you, on request, at other locations. Our current workshops are listed below.

August 20-26, 2022: Beginning with Presence: Healing the Wounds of Oppression
An immersive, week-long service learning experience at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. 10 CEUs.

March 6, 2022: Mind Blowing: An Introduction to Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy: This workshop is an introduction to the recent revival of the use of psychedelics as an adjunct to traditional psychotherapy. Via Zoom. 4 CEUs.

February 19, 2022 and March 19, 2022: Present and Wild: Sensing, Healing and Connecting Through Nature-Based Therapeutic Practice will explore how deepening our knowledge of the natural world can combat “species loneliness” and help us live more fully. 5 CEUs.

Neighborhood Gatherings: These programs, on Zoom for 2020-2021 academic year, are designed by faculty and alumni to showcase their work to an intimate group. Admission is free for these programs, and a small fee is charged if CEUs are needed. If you have interest in presenting a three-hour gathering, please contact our Programming Committee via laurah@gtip.org.
