Upcoming Workshops

Workshops: GTIP faculty and associates present events, workshops, seminars and talks focusing on the theory and practice of Gestalt Therapy. A sampling of topics include:

  • Gestalt Therapy Theory (an overview) 
  • Trauma, Grief and Loss 
  • The Ethics of Experiential Work 
  • Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy 

GTIP events are held at Bryn Mawr College, online via Zoom or in the Greater Philadelphia region. Continuing education units (CEUs) are available for Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psychologists. Faculty are available to come to you, on request, at other locations. Our current workshops are listed below.

February 4, 2023: Annual Introduction to Gestalt Therapy. This introductory online workshop will allow participants to gain a taste of Gestalt Therapy Theory and an opportunity to experience the theoretical concepts in action. There will be mini-lectures, demonstrations, and experiential exercises. 

February 11 and 12, 2023: Kinesthetic Knowing in the Therapeutic Relationship (DSP™) with Jennifer Bury. By recognizing and staying with our existing sensory and kinesthetic experience within the therapeutic dynamic, we create the opportunity for our client to discover new forms of contacting. Online via ZOOM.

February 25, 2023: Tripping Over Ourselves: Ethics, Our Relational Wounds and our Work with Clients with Doug Graiver. In this online workshop, we will utilize small group experiential components, case reviews, relevant readings, and group processing to help participants gain a greater understanding of how their relational wounds may impact their practice.

June 24 and 25, 2023: The Bodily Roots of Trauma with Ruella Frank. Workshop description coming soon. Online via ZOOM.
