Apply for Training
Applicants with diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. A non-refundable fee and three letters of recommendation accompany the application for admission.
Admission to the program is based on recommendations and a review of candidates’ abilities to:
- Be self reflective;
- Engage in group experiences;
- integrate and utilize written and didactic theoretical material; and
- Articulate why Gestalt Therapy Theory interests them personally and professionally.
Preference is given to applicants who have engaged in some form of personal growth experience.
GTIP uses a rolling admissions process. Once application materials are submitted and reviewed, applicants are invited for an interview and then notified of the admission decision. Applications are accepted until September 1; however, there is no guarantee financial aid will be available for people who apply after April 20, 2020.
Application for admission requires a fee: $50 by July 31 or $75 after that date, three letters of recommendation and an interview with a faculty member. The application process must be completed by the first weekend of training in September.
