Applicants with diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. A non-refundable fee and three letters of recommendation accompany the application for admission.
Admission to the program is based on recommendations and a review of candidates’ abilities to:
- Be self reflective;
- Engage in group experiences;
- integrate and utilize written and didactic theoretical material; and
- Articulate why Gestalt Therapy Theory interests them personally and professionally.
Preference is given to applicants who have engaged in some form of personal growth experience.
GTIP uses a rolling admissions process. Once application materials are submitted and reviewed and the application fee is paid, applicants are invited for an interview and then notified of the admission decision. Applications are accepted until August 20, 2021; however, there is no guarantee financial aid will be available for people who apply after May 1, 2021.
Application for admission requires a fee: $50 by May 31 or $75 thereafter, three letters of recommendation and an interview with the Directors and/or Faculty members.
GTIP provides continuing education credits for Psychologists, Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists.
This program is co-sponsored by Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research for a maximum of 120 credit hours. As a CSWE accredited program, the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research at Bryn Mawr College is a pre-approved provider of continuing education for Social Workers in Pennsylvania and many other states. GTIP is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology to offer continuing education for psychologists. GTIP maintains responsibility for the program.

New Applicants: $4,200
Returning Trainees: $4,000
Tuition is accepted through a PayPal payment system.
Trainees who wish to pay in monthly installments will pay an additional $50 processing fee and must set up automatic monthly payments through PayPal.
