GTIP Board member Michael Tyler Ramos, LCSW generously started this scholarship to honor his mother, Gloria E. Ramos for the sacrifices she made as a single mother of four and domestic violence survivor.
This scholarship supports the professional development of a Latinx applicant accepted into the 3-year training program demonstrating financial need. Preference will be given to pre-licensed professionals.
The scholarship aims to increase the representation of trainees of color at GTIP. Michael Tyler Ramos is grateful to be able to give back to his community, recognizing that he could not have achieved his success as a private practitioner without the support of his mother, family, friends and mentors.
In order to apply for the Gloria E. Ramos Scholarship, prospective trainees should complete an application to the 3-year training program (or already be enrolled in the program) in addition to the Latinx Scholarship application.
Applications to the 3-year training program are accepted until August 20, 2021. GTIP uses a rolling admissions process: once application materials are submitted, applicants will be invited for an interview with two members of GTIP leadership and/or faculty. After the interview and review of materials, GTIP will notify applicants of the admissions decision.
Scholarship awards will be determined by August 20, 2021.
